秋季招聘会于10月4日举行

10月4日，在爱荷华州中央校区一年一度的秋季招聘会上，100多名雇主和近500名求职者和学生齐聚一堂，建立联系。

许多想招人的当地雇主都在现场向与会者介绍工作机会，其中包括雀巢普瑞纳（Nestle Purina），该公司在道奇堡（Fort Dodge）有一家制造厂。

来自Fort Dodge Purina工厂的人力资源代表Jen Leiting表示，整个上午都有很多学生在她的展位前驻足。

“We’ve had a great turnout today,” said Leiting. “We’ve spoken with a lot of maintenance, robotics and industrial technology students.”

普瑞纳展位上最吸引人的是他们当天的四条腿大使——一只两岁的澳大利亚贵宾犬博。 He caught the attention of attendees as they passed by with his tricks and willingness to play some fetch with anyone who’d toss his ball while they chatted with Leiting about potential job opportunities.

“He’s definitely a people puppy,” said Leiting.

“The students seem to be very interested,” said Leiting. “They may not be here today for an immediate hire, but they can make that connection and have knowledge of the types of jobs we have. One great thing is that we do have a location in Fort Dodge for those who want to stay close to home, but we are also a global organization with plants all over the country where they can find jobs no matter where they go.”

“It’s amazing how many different employers are here today that will help you pay to get your paramedic degree while you work for them,” she said.

“We’ve met several IT students,” said Duncanson. “We are in the process of building a virtual hospital; IT and cyber jobs are huge for us right now.”

爱荷华中心就业服务中心主任埃里克·奥伯格（Eric Oberg）说，当天的工作进展顺利，学生和求职者络绎不绝。 他说，这一天是一个团队的努力，有各个部门在场协助，使招聘会成为可能。

“The photography students are here today to provide free headshots,” Oberg said. “The football team was also a big help with getting everyone loaded and unloaded in the Career Education Building.”

秋季招聘会是每年在校园举行的两次招聘会之一，春季招聘会将于2024年3月26日举行。
